A facilities services contractor in Edinburgh prepared a more complete submission for CHAS and SafeContractor assessment.
The challenge
The contractor needed scheme approval to support framework tender opportunities. Earlier attempts had stalled because evidence was incomplete and responsibilities were unclear. The team also needed a better way to manage renewals.

Compared requirements with policies, assessments, training records, inspection logs and insurance information.
Close documentation gaps
Updated agreed policies and procedures, checked signatures and dates, and clarified responsibilities.
Organise competency records
Collated certificates and created a training matrix with expiry tracking.
Prepare for submission and renewal
Organised the evidence pack, carried out checks and introduced a renewals calendar.

The reported outcome
